Positive Coaching Alliance

The Bolles School has partnered with Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), a national non-profit organization that develops resources for youth and high school sports coaches, parents, administrators and student-athletes. PCA's mission is to transform the youth sports culture into a Development Zone® where all youth and high school athletes have a positive, character-building experience that results in "Better Athletes, Better People."

Bolles will provide workshops, online courses and books that help those involved in youth and high school sports create a positive, character-building youth sports culture. Bolles Assistant Athletic Director and Girls' Varsity Basketball Coach Kelly Stevenson is coordinating the workshops.

The partnership reiterates Bolles' commitment to character education and reflects the School's athletic motto: "Be humble in victory, and gracious in defeat." Bolles also stresses the importance of good sportsmanship through monthly nominations by upper school coaches of student-athletes who demonstrate the motto.
