Vote Freeman ’30 and Lutze ’28 in Athlete of the Year Polls

Bolles flag football player Patricia Freeman ’30 and softball player Madden Lutze ’28 are among the candidates in The Florida Times-Union polls for the top athlete in 2026 in their respective sports.

Freeman helped the flag football team make history in its inaugural season as the Bulldogs won district and regional titles and advanced to the State Final Four. A standout on offense, defense and special teams, she led Bolles in receptions with 93, receiving yards with 972, interceptions with 17, interception return yards with 330, punt returns with 309 yards and scoring with 116 points including 19 touchdowns and two extra points. Freeman also ranked second in flag pulls with 67.

Lutze led the Bulldogs on the pitching mound with 216 strikeouts and a 2.62 ERA. She also led the team in stolen bases with 16, ranked first in triples with five, tied for second in doubles with nine, tied for second with a .487 batting average, ranked second in RBI with 27 and ranked second in home runs with six. Lutze helped Bolles advance to the regional semifinals and post a 17-9 record for the season.
