Bolles Crew sent three boats to compete at the USRowing Youth National Championships, held June 11-14 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota. All three boats performed well, highlighted by a bronze medal earned in the Men’s U17 4+ (Nicholas Tsoukias ’28, Cameron MacDonald ’29, Anthony Laudicina ’28, Samuel Benitez ’29 and coxswain Julanne McCranie '28). The accomplishment marked the first time a Bolles boat advanced to the A finals at Youth Nationals as well as earning  a medal.

"Throughout the week, the boys fought to continue improving from race to race, culminating in their historic third place result!” noted Boys’ Coach Claire Anderson. “It's a great way to end the 2026 season and build momentum heading into next year, with all athletes returning in the fall."

The girls’ crew had two boats at Youth Nationals for the first time. The Women’s Youth 4+ (Lizzy Watkins ’26, Broward Kavanaugh ’28, Maggie You ’27, Presley Swain ’27 and coxswain Stella Smith ’28) placed second in the C Final (18^th overall). The Women’s Youth 4- (Olivia Bassin ’27, Jillian McLaughlin ’27, Cami Walker ’27, Sophia Zhang ’28) finished fourth in the C Final (20^th overall).

“We had an amazing season for the girls' team,” said Girl’s Head Coach Conny Kirsch. “I am not just proud of what the girls achieved on the racecourse, but also what a great team culture has been built over the last few years.”
