Hunt Soccer Complex

The Bolles School celebrated a major milestone January 6 with the groundbreaking of the Hunt Soccer Complex – a project designed to further elevate the School’s athletic program and enhance the student-athlete experience for generations to come.

The historic project is made possible through the Hunt family—Melissa Hunt and her son Lincoln Hunt ’22—and marks the first major gift earmarked specifically for the School’s girls’ and boys’ soccer program. The complex will span just over 4,000 square feet and include new locker rooms for both soccer teams, restrooms, a dedicated head coach’s office and a covered area and tunnel leading players onto George H. Hodges Field.

“This is more than a soccer complex – it’s a statement about the strength of our community and the vision we share for Bolles athletics,” said Bolles President and Head of School Tyler Hodges. “We are deeply grateful to the Hunt family for making this dream a reality.”

Melissa and Lincoln, a standout goalkeeper during his time at Bolles, have long shared a passion for the sport. Their gift reflects not only their love for soccer but also their belief in the values it instills – creativity, teamwork and perseverance.

The celebration also honored Harvey Hunt, Melissa’s late husband and Lincoln’s father, remembered for his unwavering commitment to family and community – values at the heart of this generous gift. Other key contributors to the project include the Block Family, notably brothers Bill Block ’84 and Andy Block ’86. Bill attended the groundbreaking ceremony, accompanied by his wife, Lauren Block, and daughter, Alex Fischer ’11.

Bolles soccer boasts a storied tradition, with numerous state championships and alumni competing at collegiate and professional levels. The Hunt Soccer Complex will ensure this proud tradition continues to thrive. Go Bulldogs!
