Francesca Fusinato joined the Bolles and JTCC staff in 2022, serving as the upper school girls’ coach as well as leading the inaugural middle school team in 2024. Born in Feltre, Italy, Fusinato’s career as a collegiate and professional player has led her to coach with some of the top athletes and coaches at all levels.
Fusinato played at the #1 singles and doubles position at Virginia Tech. One of her many college highlights included defeating the top-ranked national player during a conference match. She played briefly on the WTA tour, with wins over two top-250 WTA players.
Fusinato earned her degree in Pre-Med from Virgina Tech and began her coaching career under the guidance of former WTA top-10 player Brenda Schultz-McCarthy. During this time, she coached elite players at the high school, college and pro levels. Fusinato worked as a traveling coach with Lauren Davis, who ranked 25th on the WTA tour. She also worked with former #7 in the world Johan Kriek and former top-30 WTA player Sabina Simmons
Prior to joining Claudi Pistolesi’s staff at Bolles, Fusinato served as a volunteer assistant coach with the women’s team at Virginia Tech for the 2022 season.
