Bolles faculty and staff are provided numerous opportunities for professional growth. The Ottenstroer Fellowships are exemplary of the depth and breadth of these opportunities and several faculty members have traveled around the globe through their research. Funded by a grant from Duane and Sue Ottenstroer, the fellowships are awarded annually to members of the Bolles faculty who have had a significant impact on the learning process and have a plan for future improvement.

Bolles students continue to experience the world through exchange programs and study abroad opportunities in distinctive locales throughout the world. World language and cultural immersion, as well as safety and security, are priorities as students' understanding of how different people work, believe and approach their daily lives is broadened through these rewarding and numerous experiences.

Bolles shares exchange programs with schools in France, Japan, China, Spain and London. Students have the opportunity to host visiting students as well as travel to these countries, expanding their knowledge of these languages and cultures.
 

Bolles is a diverse community comprising students from all over the world. The boarding program is a key component to providing both day and resident students in the upper school an opportunity to experience new cultures and broaden their view of the world around them. The diversity of the Bolles Community extends to the middle and lower school campuses as well. On all four campuses in 2024-25, students represent 75 countries and territories and 22 languages.

Bolles students broaden their sense of service and learn how they can use their talents and interests to support the community through numerous student-led clubs. That passion also extends to the global community with many clubs focusing on countries and cultures around the world.
