Muffins & Mentors Initiative Launches on San Jose Campus

Bolles Alumni Board Vice Chair Tim Miller ’05 kicked off the first session of the new Muffins & Mentors program on the Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus on January 22.

The initiative invites Bolles alumni to discuss their profession and perspectives on the third Thursday of every month as part of The J. Malcolm Jones Jr. Mentorship Program, named for former Bolles Trustee J. Malcolm Jones Jr. ’71. The program seeks to equip Bolles students to unlock their full potential by connecting them with individuals who will inspire growth, share real-world experience and guide them as they navigate their journey through Bolles and beyond.

Miller, an accomplished Jacksonville attorney with Harris Guidi Rosner, sat down with upper school students in the College Counseling Conference Room for a candid conversation about his work on both the prosecution and defense sides of the legal system. Students asked him questions ranging from what it takes to succeed in his field to how he balances work and family life.

Miller earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law. His practice focuses on criminal defense, family law and civil litigation, giving him a broad perspective on the complexities of the legal field.

Those interested in getting involved with The J. Malcolm Jones Jr. Mentorship Program may email Bolles Mentorship Program Coordinator Ellie Dalkin at DalkinE@Bolles.org or fill out this survey. #BulldogProud
