Monteiro ’07 Kicks Off 2026-27 Career Conversations Series

Bolles alumna Dr. Rachel Monteiro ’07 returned to the Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus September 18 to speak with upper school students about her path to becoming a dentist and business owner as part of Career Conversations, a monthly alumni speaker series.

During the small-group session in the Chahlavi Center for Global Learning & Engagement, Monteiro, a Jacksonville dentist and owner of River Oaks Dental, shared the path that led her to a career in dentistry, the education and training required to enter the profession and what she has learned from building and leading a patient-centered dental practice. Through conversations and student Q&A, students gained insight into both the clinical and entrepreneurial sides of dentistry and what it takes to turn professional expertise into a thriving business.

Career Conversations is an ongoing series within The J. Malcolm Jones Jr. Mentorship Program that brings Bolles alumni back to campus for candid, interactive conversations with upper school students about their career paths, pivotal decisions and the experiences that shaped their journeys. Thank you, Dr. Monteiro! #BulldogProud
