Hicks ’19 Places 7th in Boston Marathon

Bolles alumnus Charles Hicks ’19 placed seventh overall and was the second American to cross the finish line at the 2026 Boston Marathon on April 20. Racing just his second marathon, Hicks’ time of 2:04:35 is the second fastest ever by an American at the distance. He averaged 4:46 per mile.
Hicks matched his overall and American placing in his marathon debut at the 2025 New York City Marathon in November. He currently races professionally for Nike, training with the Bowerman Track Club in Eugene, Oregon. He has his sights on making the U.S. team for the 2028 Olympics.
