Head ’93 Discusses the Power of Storytelling

Photography, Global Entrepreneurship and Journalism students gathered on April 14 to hear from five-time Emmy Award-winning journalist and filmmaker Pascale Head ’93. After more than 20 years in news and journalism, Head founded Pascale & Mo Storytelling Studio, where she now focuses on documentary filmmaking and impact-driven storytelling.

Head shared her “12 Steps of Storytelling” with the classroom and emphasized the importance of authentic storytelling in the world of rapid-fire content. Prior to class, students watched her recent documentary, “Legacy Lives Here,” as an example of what that looks like in practice. Through conversation and Q&A, students left with a clearer understanding of how storytelling functions as a powerful tool for connection and impact across disciplines.
