Hastings ’19 Volunteers at Boys’ Cross Country Team Camp

Bolles alumnus Xander Hastings ’19 spent 10 days this summer assisting the boys’ cross country team during its training camp in Flagstaff, Arizona.

After receiving the necessary School approvals, Hastings traveled to Arizona, lived alongside the team and helped with transportation and daily camp operations throughout the trip.

Bolles Boys’ Cross Country Head Coach Steven Stam ’00 said Hastings volunteered out of the kindness of his heart and love for the program. The former Bulldog runner brought energy and enthusiasm to the camp, and student-athletes enjoyed hearing stories from his time at Bolles, including competing on teams that finished ninth nationally in 2018 and 20th nationally in 2017.

Hastings’ willingness to give back provided meaningful support for the program and an opportunity for current runners to connect with a recent alumnus who shares their passion for Bolles cross country.
