Bolles alumnus Jackson Baumeister ’21, a sophomore starting pitcher for the Florida State University baseball team, earned Third Team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors for the 2023 season.

Baumeister posted a 5-5 record with a 5.09 ERA and 95 strikeouts in 69.0 innings for the Seminoles. He ranked third in the ACC in strikeouts and was second in the ACC and 21st nationally with 12.39 strikeouts per nine innings. He was named the ACC and National Pitcher of the Week for his 14-strikeout performance against Clemson on April 6, leading FSU to the series-opening victory. In his final appearance of the year at Louisville on May 19, Baumeister overcame an early deficit and pitched a career-high 8.0 innings as FSU rallied from a 4-0 deficit to earn a 7-4 win.

Baumeister’s 14 strikeouts against Clemson were the most in a game for an ACC pitcher this season, tied for eighth-most nationally and the most by an FSU pitcher since 2006.
