Patterson earned All-ACC Second Team honors as she tied for sixth in the conference in both goals (9) and points (21) during the regular season, leading UNC in both categories. To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve who carries a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average and is at least a sophomore. Patterson is a global studies major with a concentration in international politics and Latin American studies. She is a two-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

Patterson and UNC advanced to the College Cup Final with wins over Old Dominion, Georgia, BYU, Notre Dame and FSU in the NCAA tournament.
