Girls from the Bolles Residential Life program on the Bolles Middle School Bartram Campus enjoyed a special trick-or-treating event on October 31. The boarding students hosted a progressive candy exchange on campus. International students shared candies and sweets from their home countries for all to try.
The delicious treats from all over the world included: Pacqoquita Doce de Amendoim and Bonbon Soto de Valsa from Brazil; Coffee Crisps from Canada; Galaxy Bars from Cayman Islands; White Rabbit and Hot Kid Milky Chewy candies from China; Kinder Bueno from Czech Republic; Ritter Sports from Germany; Alpenliebe Lollipops from India; Coconut Ginger Bustas from Jamaica; Bon Bon Lollipops from Nicaragua; Nestle Milo Energy and Percy Pigs from Singapore; Chapa Chups Lollipops and Ferror Rocher candies from Spain; Sugus Jumbo Lychee from Thailand; and Alpenliebe Lollipops from Vietnam.
This school year, Bolles boarding students represent 23 countries and nine states. Their presence adds a rich layer of culture and international perspective to the Bolles community.
The home countries of boys and girls in the Bolles boarding program this year include: Albania, Antigua & Barbuda, the Bahamas, Brazil, Canada, Cayman Island, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Thailand and Vietnam.
A significant number of Bolles boarding students hail from the United States including cities in Alaska, California, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas.
