Coaching Staff

Coach
Mike Barrett has served on the Bolles coaching staff since 1975. He is defensive coordinator of the Bolles football team, helping the Bulldogs to all 11 of the program's state titles, six state runner-up finishes, nine sectional championships, 15 regional championships and 32 district championships. He also served as an assistant track and field coach, coaching throws, earlier in his Bolles career.
In 1984 and 1985, Barrett became of part of the Jacksonville Bulls' of the United States Football League, serving as strength coach and assistant linebacker coach. Barrett came to Bolles after coaching in Cincinnati for five years.
Barrett graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in physical education and started for three years as a linebacker on the Bearcats' football team. As a senior, Barrett earned Cincinnati 's Brig Owens Award as the team's most outstanding defensive back. Barrett also earned a master's degree in guidance.
Barrett attended Maynard High School in Massachusetts , where he played running back, linebacker, and kicker on the football team as well as forward on the basketball team and catcher on the school's baseball team. His son Kevin is a 1991 graduate of Bolles and was a member of the Bulldogs' 1990 state title squad. Kevin went on to play football at Brown University and is currently working as a neurologist in Jacksonville.

Assistant Coach
