Several Alumni Earn College All-Conference Honors

Numerous Bolles graduates continue their athletic careers into the college ranks each year, finding success on the field and in the classroom. The 2018 fall season saw several Bulldog alumni earn All-Conference honors in their respective sports.

Suzanne Dannheim ’16, a junior on the George Washington University women’s cross country team, earned All-Atlantic 10 Conference honors with a top-10 finish at the A-10 Championship meet on October 27. Dannheim placed eighth in a personal-best 5K time of 17:38.4, matching the second-fastest 5K time in GW program history. She was also named GW’s “Colonial of the Week,” recognized as the top performer by a GWU athlete across all-sports, on October 1.
TJ Floyd ’16, a junior safety on the Princeton University football team, was named to the All-Ivy League First Team. Floyd finished second in the Ivy League with six interceptions on the season, adding 33 tackles and a pass breakup. He helped the Tigers to an Ivy League Championship title and the program’s first undefeated season since 1964.
Jordan Jackson ’16 a sophomore defensive lineman on the Air Force Academy football team, earned Second Team All-Mountain West Conference honors. Jackson recorded 54 total tackles and led the Falcons with 12.5 tackles for loss for 60 yards and 4.5 sacks for 32 yards. He ranked seventh in the conference in tackles for loss with a 1.04 average per game. Jackson had at least one tackle for loss in eight of 12 games this season, including a career-best 3.5 vs. Navy which was the most by a Falcon this season.
Grace Mathis ’15, a junior midfielder on the Haverford College women’s soccer team, was named to the Centennial Conference’s 2018 Fall Academic Honor Roll. The academic honor roll recognizes sophomores, juniors and seniors who have a 3.40 cumulative grade point average or higher.
Tee Mitchell ’13, a senior running back on the Mercer University football team, was named to the All-Southern Conference Second Team despite tallying just six carries over the final four games of the season due to injury. Mitchell rushed for 685 yards on 126 attempts, averaging 5.4 yards per carry. He tallied seven total touchdowns, including six rushing, and became Mercer's career rushing leader with 2,660 yards on the ground. Mitchell surpassed 100 rushing yards in four games this season. He earned All-SoCon  honors in 2015 and 2017 as well.
Dragon Theam ’18, a freshman golfer at La Salle University, was named Atlantic-10 Conference Rookie of the Week on October 12. Theam won his first ever collegiate event at the Bucknell Fall Invitational, shooting a program and tournament record low for 36 holes with a seven-under 133.

Alex Turnock ’16, a junior on the Jacksonville University men's cross country team, was named to the 2018 Atlantic Sun Conference All-Academic Team for the second straight season. Majoring in marketing, Turnock achieved a 3.88 cumulative GPA while leading the Dolphins in each of the team’s four races this season.
