Bolles alumni Kyle Johnson ’16 and Jordan Jackson ’16 were among 14 Air Force Academy football players to earn All-Mountain West honors. Johnson was named to the Second Team and Jackson earned Honorable Mention.
Johnson, a senior linebacker, ranks second on the Air Force team in tackles with 76, fourth in tackles for loss with 5.5 tackles and tallied 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception return for a touchdown. Johnson also earned the 2019 Charlotte Touchdown Club Defender of the Nation award for his work on and off the field.
Jackson, a junior defensive tackle, ranks ninth on the team in total tackles with 38, fifth in tackles for loss with 4.5 and fourth in sacks with 3.5. He earned All-Mountain West honors in 2018 as well, being named to the Second Team.
Johnson and Jackson helped the Falcons to a 31-21 win over Washington State in the Cheez-It Bowl in Phoenix, Arizona, on Friday, December 27. Johnson is holding the team's trophy in the photo below. Air Force completed the regular season with an 11-2 overall record, finished second in the Mountain West Mountain Division with a 7-1 mark and a ranking of 24th in the AP and Coaches polls.
