Pre-Kindergarten Classroom

With a beautiful porch overlooking the St. Johns River from a high bluff, the PreK classroom is a small cottage with resources to get students acclimated to classroom learning. The building includes a kitchen, a rug reading area, work space, several caged critters and its own playground area.
Whitehurst Campus Main Office

The Lower School Main Office building houses the administrative assistant and school nurse for the Bolles Lower School Whitehurst Campus.
Lily's Science Lab

Lily's Science Lab offers students an opportunity to experience hands-on activities to help them better understand the world of science from an early age.
Copeland Library

The Copeland Library, built with lower school-age children in mind, provides students with resources to help them excel in the classroom and life. There are stuffed animals to read with, sitting areas and the book shelves are just the right height for young minds and hands.

Whitehurst Grade 4 Classroom

The Grade 4 building includes two classrooms and overlooks a play area the St. Johns River.
Whitehurst Grade 3 Classroom

This building houses two Grade 3 classrooms and is in within easy walking distance of the library and other resources.
Whitehurst World Language and Innovation Lab

The World Language & Innovation Lab gives students an early start on language study. Its maker space area provides inspiration for Bolles' future engineers.

The Arnold Family Outdoor Learning Center

The 488-square-foot riverfront treehouse overlooks the beautiful St. Johns River. The treehouse is made of concrete, heavy timber, wood logs and shingles including railings carved by Native Americans. Beams for the treehouse were grown in Minnesota. Each post is hand-shaped to fit with the other posts. The structure was designed to hold an entire class of students to provide an inspiring, fun environment for learning. The treehouse further emphasizes Bolles' belief in the power of play – both inside and outside the classroom.
Whitehurst Grade 5 Classroom

Two beautiful riverfront buildings accommodate three Grade 5 classrooms on the Bolles Lower School Whitehurst Campus. The classrooms are contiguous to the Treehouse Outdoor Learning Center.

Whitehurst Grades 1 and 2 Classrooms

These buildings provide classroom space for students in Grades 1-2 and have access to a large playground with Kompan play equipment just outside the back door.
Whitehurst Kindergarten Building and K Cove

This building provides classrooms for students in Kindergarten and includes K-Cove, an outdoor adventure learning space, as well as a dedicated playground with specially designed play equipment to help young children grow physically, socially, emotionally and academically.
Pottsburg Creek Classroom

The Pottsburg Creek classroom provides students with an opportunity to learn Latin within view of Pottsburg Creek.
Warren-Ropp Courtyard

The Warren-Ropp Courtyard is dedicated to retired Bartram faculty members Bev Warren and Louise Ropp and is a beautiful gathering spot for middle school students.
Pratt Dining Hall

The Pratt Dining Hall is the place where FLIK Independent School Dining Services prepares and serves nutritious, balanced meals to students, faculty and guests.
Murchison-Lane Hall

Murchison-Lane Hall houses the School's leadership and administrative offices, classrooms, the Campus Store as well as the new Learning Center.

Miller Room

The Miller Room is a popular gathering spot for students. Clubs and meetings are typically held here. It also showcases some of the School's history with memories from the Bartram School.
Main Office

The Middle School Head, Deans, Admission and administrative assistants are located in the Main Office.
Pratt Library

The Pratt Library provides students with technology and books in a new and updated setting.The many resources are utilized by students to enhance their academic experience--all in a comfortable and enjoyable environment.An outdoor checkers and chess set can be found just outside in the courtyard

Tarver Hall

Tarver Hall is home to the middle school sciences and technology and is equipped with the latest furnishings for learning fun--students and teachers can write on the walls and cabinets, cords pull from ceilings, desks can be configured in many different ways and the room size allows for much collaboration among students and teachers. Hands-on learning in robotics and science never stops here.
North Hall

North Hall includes staff residences and hosted student living space prior to the girls' Resident Life program moving to the San Jose Campus in 2021.
Lovett Hall

Lovett Hall includes staff residences and hosted student living space prior to the girls' Resident Life program moving to the San Jose Campus in 2021.
Conroy Athletic Center and Curry Hicks Circle

The Conroy Athletic Center gives students a chance to enjoy Physical Education classes, practice sports, learn to use weights and revel in the home advantage for many games.

Betsy Lovett Arts Center

The Betsy Lovett Arts Center houses the Murchison-Lane Gallery and Parker Auditorium. Here, student artwork is on exhibit and musicians, singers, dancers and thespians have the opportunity to perform on a state-of-the-art stage with beautiful acoustics.

Shands Art Room

The Shands Art Room is an inspiring, creative place for all students to develop interests in many art mediums.
George Hall

George Hall is a 10,800-square-foot gym and multipurpose building. The facility includes expanded areas for fine arts study and performance, gymnasium space to promote indoor “Power of Play” activities, a coaching staff office, bathrooms and a beautiful outdoor amphitheater.

Wotiz Family Outdoor Learning Center

The Wotiz Family Outdoor Learning Center enhances the learning process through the outdoors, bringing elevated energy and connection to classroom learning. It creates an opportunity to experience and appreciate nature and allow students to not only learn about nature, but to learn how nature can impact math, literature, history, art, music and science.
Main Office/Ponte Vedra Hall/Pre-K and Kindergarten Classrooms/Library

This building is the campus centerpiece. On the first floor is Ponte Vedra Hall, where students enjoy their lunch. Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classrooms are located on the second floor, just behind the Main Office front desk. The campus' beautiful library is on the third floor.

The McLauchlan-Evans Building provides classroom space for students in Grades 4 and 5
Grades 1-3 Classrooms and Computer Lab

The computer lab is dedicated to furthering students' technology proficiency using the latest computer resources, knowledge and faculty instruction. Here, students learn everything from coding to making digital presentations. The building also classrooms for students in Grades 1-3.
Peyton Boathouse & Rice Family Crew Complex

Students go to the Peyton Boathouse & Rice Family Crew Complex to improve their rowing skills. This state-of-the-art facility ensures that crew members will certainly maximize their rowing experience

Marine Science Building

The Marine Science Center gives students an opportunity to build on their knowledge of marine science with the St. Johns River outside its front door for hands-on learning.
Sanchez Fender Center for Innovation

Opened in August 2024, the Frank R. Sanchez & Hope and Dana E. Fender Center for Innovation features numerous cutting-edge classrooms and 12 sophisticated specialty labs, including spaces for anatomy, biology and chemistry lab instruction. The building also houses Bolles’ Anatomage table, the world’s first and only virtual dissection table used by medical schools and universities around the globe. In addition to being built with the latest technology for advanced study, the CFI also includes spaces for small group discussions, collaborative learning and independent study. This center allows students to create, invent and explore using a variety of tools, materials and technology. And it also highlights the campus’ greatest natural asset – the St. Johns River.
Stein Fine Arts Center and Lynch Theatre

Stein Fine Arts Center and Lynch Theater is a busy epicenter for the arts--hosting a variety of classes such as dance, acting, painting, ceramics, sculpture, band, chorus and more. Student artwork is always on display in the Gooding Gallery. This center also gives lower school students an opportunity to perfect their art skills at an early age. Here, you will find the Whitehurst Music Room as well as the Whitehurst Art Room.

McGehee Auditorium

The McGehee Auditorium is home of the Bolles Fine and Performing Arts and is a place where students, family and guests gather to watch performances of all kinds including special speakers and convocations.

Bent Student Center

Bent Student Center houses College Counseling, a learning area, counseling and student activities offices and a small conference room. Here, you can also find the Campus Store which provides students, faculty and family with school spirit wear and other school supplies. The Canteen is also located in this building.

Davis Gymnasium and Bulldog Hall

Davis Gymnasium hosts basketball, volleyball and occasional dodgeball games along with quarterly pep rallies, convocations and special events. Bulldog Hall is located right outside of the Gym and honors athletes and coaches from all 17 sports offered at The Bolles School.
Uible Pool, Tarver Pool and Phase II of the Aquatic Complex

Uible Pool and Tarver Pool are where swimmers of all ages have the opportunity to became a part of one of the top swim programs in the world. The newly constructed Tarver Pool officially opened on April 30, 2021. The 25-meter by 25-yard Myrtha pool begins the transformation of Bolles’ aquatic facilities and sets a new benchmark for developing student-athletic excellence. This project completes Phase I of the redevelopment of Bolles’ pool facilities. Work now enters Phase II of the planned expansion for aquatic excellence—which includes expansion of the dry-land training room, welcome center, coaches offices and new meeting/venue space overlooking both Uible Pool and the track and stadium area.

McKenzie Wilson Softball Field

The McKenzie Wilson Softball Field gives students an opportunity to improve their softball skills and play the game competitively. A new batting cage was added in 2019 to further enhance the facility.
Skinner-Barco Stadium and Hodges Field

Skinner-Barco Stadium, Hodges Field and the Baker-Gate Petroleum Track Facility provide athletes with an opportunity to participate in football, track & field, lacrosse and soccer. The stadium also houses athletic offices, the recently expanded Mike Barrett Strength and Conditioning Center, as well as the Colmery Skills Center and a state-of-the-art specialty medicine area for certified trainers to oversee the care of our student athletes. Additional recent enhancements include Corky Rogers Plaza and a tribute to Bolles athletes and coaches in the FHSAA Hall of Fame.
Surface Way Entrance and Cain Gymnasium

The Surface Way is a ticket building and entry arch greeting you to Skinner Barco Stadium made possible by the Surface Family.
The Cain Gymnasium provides students with another gym for indoor sports. Weight training, basketball and dodgeball games are often played here in addition to being the home for the training room, wrestling room, girls' and boys' locker rooms and the baseball office.

Bent Tennis Center

Students of all ages can develop a passion for tennis at the Bent Tennis Center. With eight tennis courts, athletes can learn from well- known and skilled coaches while having fun and developing new skills.
JD Collins Stadium and Hugh Donovan Field

The J.D. Collins Stadium and Hugh Donovan Field are the home grounds for Bolles baseball. A new hitting facility was added in 2018. A significant renovation to the baseball complex will open in 2026 with the Jerry and Bruce Chappell Fieldhouse and Chipper Jones Stadium.
Bolles Hall/Verlander Hall

Bolles Hall, built in 1925 as a hotel, today houses administrative offices, resident housing for boarding, as well as conference and meeting rooms. The historic building also includes Verlander Hall which provides a beautiful dining area for students and faculty to enjoy fresh, nutritious meal. The area also offers a River Patio for students and faculty to sit outside and admire the beautiful St. Johns River.

River Campus

The River Campus is the portion of the Upper School San Jose Campus that fronts the St. Johns River high up on the bluff. This beautiful setting is where Bolles hosts commencement exercises each year.
Commencement Pointe is a favorite destination for admiring the flag and river views, as well as the bluffs where chairs and swings provide inspirational places to find inspiration.
Ulmer Hall

The Chahlavi Center for Global Learning as well as all language classes, are housed in Ulmer Hall. The Bolles School offers Arabic, French, Latin, Spanish, Chinese and English as a Second Language (ESL).
Ulmer Courtyard

Ulmer Courtyard is home to freshman lockers and is a student gathering spot centrally located to science labs and the Office of Transportation and Security.
Swisher Library

Swisher Library provides students with computers, books, as well as private study areas. The Library has a multitude of resources that can enhance the Bolles academic experience.

Schultz Hall

The Academic Office, Deans' Office, as well as English and social studies classes, are currently located in Schultz Hall. This area also includes the Writer’s Studio, which provide peer-to-peer writing assistance.

Finance Office

The Finance Office is located on the right, adjacent to the Welcome Station. All tuition, finance, operations management and business operations related to The Bolles School are handled by the professional staff from this building.
Welcome Station

The Welcome Station is the hub of security for the Bolles Upper School San Jose and Lower School Whitehurst Campuses and is staffed by Bolles security guards 24 hours a day. All guests must present a valid driver’s license to enter the campus, and Bolles students, faculty and staff are allowed entrance based on special decals. Safety is the utmost priority at The Bolles School on all four campuses.
Admission House

The Admission House at the entrance of the Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus welcomes all families and prospective students to learn more about opportunities to experience a Bolles education. The admission staff includes lower, middle, upper school and boarding admission directors and support staff as well as the Dean of Admission and Financial Aid.
Human Resources

The Human Resources building, located just north of the Admission House, is the hub for the entire School’s human resources, risk management and administrative team.
