Grade 5 students on the Bolles Lower School Whitehurst Campus worked together to raise funds for Dreams Come True through the Kids Helping Kids initiative – ultimately raising $4,300 to send 6-year-old Archibald on a dream vacation to Orlando with his family next week.

In tandem with a dress-down day fundraiser and a Grade 3 lemonade stand held earlier this year, the bulk of their fundraising was accomplished during a lower school bazaar held May 8 on the Whitehurst Campus playground.

On May 18, the fifth graders hosted a Disney-themed party for Archibald and his family, complete with cupcakes and thoughtful presents. The students and faculty donned Mickey ears as they delivered the exciting news that Archibald and his family would soon head to Orlando to stay at the Dreams Come True Give Kids the World Village and visit the theme parks of his choice.
