Bolles rower Lizzy Watkins ’26 was selected to participate in the USRowing U19 Selection Development Camp, held June 23-July 16 at Eastern Michigan University. The camp prepares rowers from throughout the US for future national team racing. Bolles Girls’ Rowing Head Coach Conny Kirsch also served as the women’s head coach at the camp.

In the final week of camp, the athletes participated in the International Racing Challenge against teams from Canada, Mexico and New Zealand. The competition included teams of four male and four female rowers, as well as a coxswain, and was completed in two days over a racing distance of 1500m. Each athlete competed 8-10 times in categories including single, double, quad, pair, four and mixed eight. Watkin’s team posted several top-3 results in the finals.
