Vote Bolt ’13 for Northeast Florida's All-time Best Boys Soccer Player
Jay Bolt

Bolles alumnus Jay Bolt ’13 is among the candidates in the USA TODAY Network poll for Northeast Florida's All-time Best Boys Soccer Player. USA TODAY Network is recognizing the athletes and sports figures who shaped communities and defined their states, including in Northeast Florida. The 10 players selected for the poll, all excelled while at the high school level and progressed to further accomplishments.

The feature in the Times-Union noted that Bolt was an intense goal-scoring midfielder who made the transition to defense, won an FHSAA championship with Bolles in 2013, earned All-First Coast player of the year and tallied 54 career assists. He then helped the University of North Florida to its first-ever ASUN championship and an NCAA Tournament berth two years later, including conference defender of the year honors. From there, he played with the USL's Charleston Battery, remaining there three years and winning the club's newcomer of the year award before a coaching career that's already included two FHSAA finals.

Bolt has returned to Bolles to join the middle school P.E. staff and assist with the varsity boys' soccer team.
