Videoconference Opportunity to Hear French, Conversation on Race

Upper school French and Arabic teacher Mme Sara Phillips-Bourass is hosting an School event January 26 that promises to appease students’ love of language and athletics and their understanding of racism in countries around the world.

She is providing an opportunity for students to participate in a live Zoom interview with Lilian Thuram, author and founder of the Lilian Thuram-Education contre le racism and a former player on the French national soccer team. The videoconference, which is part of the series "Noires Amériques: Conversations littéraires" by the Bibliothèque des Amériques, will be held at noon on January 26 in Phillips-Bourass' classroom, Schultz 204. These literary  meetings aim to promote the values of inclusion and dialogue and to discover the richness and diversity of French-speaking literature on the American continent.
