Upper School Students, Clubs Recognized at Q4 Honors Convocation

Many upper school students were recognized by Bolles leadership, faculty and their peers at the Fourth Quarter Honors Convocation held April 28 in Davis Gym on the Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus.

The Bolles Character Committee kicked off the convocation by introducing Bolles Lower School Whitehurst Campus Pre-K students, who performed The Bolles Way song. Then, they gave a presentation highlighting individuals who demonstrate excellence, integrity, courage and compassion.  

Bolles Associate Head of School Andrew Forrester and Bolles Head of Upper School Moya Marks recognized this quarter’s President List Award winners, who received medals for exemplifying The Bolles Way.

  • Danielle Baum ’26 and Lily Adams ’26: These seniors are founders and leaders of the Bolles Pink Ribbon Jax Club, which promotes breast cancer awareness and raises funds for research and free mammography services for uninsured and underinsured individuals. They also hosted a Pink Ribbon Jax Charity Golf Tournament, significantly surpassing their goal of $5,000 through persistent fundraising, sponsorship outreach and months of coordination.
  • Lynn Ibrahim ’29: Ibrahim served as a lead organizer for a community-wide fundraising event hosted at her home in support of the New Palmyra Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding educational access for Syrian students affected by war. The event brought together approximately 110 attendees and raised over $47,500 for the Taleb Educational Platform, an online learning system offering more than 200 curriculum aligned academic modules.
  • Amaya Berrios ’27, Paris James ’27, Angelina Le ’27, Saian Patel ’27, Jayan Shah ’27, Anya Shah ’29, Scarlett Bradley ’29, Arnay Patel ’29 and Talin Patel ’29: This group of Bolles students has been working since last summer to remodel the media room at Oceanway Middle School on Jacksonville’s Northside. The students researched and designed the space and are now raising funds to purchase new furniture. Most recently, the group raised money at a Jacksonville Icemen hockey game by raffling a signed jersey.

The New Club Award, given to the new club or school-sponsored organization that demonstrated the most activity in the current school year, was awarded to Hearts for Bolles. The President’s Trophy, awarded each year to the club that makes the greatest contribution through its activities and in the community, was presented to both the Green P.E.A.S. (Planet, Equity and Sustainability) and KIDS (Kindness in a Diverse Society).
