Upper School Dreams Come True Club Hosts Celebration for Dreamer
dreams come true group

The Bolles Upper School Dreams Come True Club hosted its annual Dreamer Party May 16 to celebrate George Mitchell, a local five-year-old whose body does not produce enough white blood cells to fight infections and illnesses. George and his family, which includes an 8-year-old sister who was his bone-marrow donor for a recent bone-marrow transplant, were on campus for the festivities.

The party was held outdoors on the Bolles River Patio and included cake, balloons, presents and lots of smiles. Representatives from the Dreams Come True organization also attended.

The club has been raising funds all year to support Dreams Come True and its efforts to gift area children with once-in-a-lifetime experiences. The club hosted its annual Pumpkin drop this fall and poinsettia sale just before winter break. In total, the students offered Dreams Come True a check for $2,000.

As a result of students’ fundraising work, George and his family will be able to enjoy a weeklong stay in Orlando visiting Disney World and other area theme parks. They will stay at the Give the Kids the World Village. For photos from the celebration, visit our online gallery here.
