Bolles delegates met for another United Nation Sustainable Development Goals discussion with students from around the world April 26 in Ulmer Hall’s Chahlavi Center for Global Learning and Engagement. This time, students engaged in a virtual peer conversation on Sustainable Communities addressing the following topic: What’s one way we can make cities and communities safe, inclusive, resilient and sustainable?

The dialogue is an opportunity for Global Education Benchmark Group (BEBG)-member schools like Bolles to conduct meaningful conversation within an international community. GEBG is using the UN Sustainable Development Goals as the discussion topics and providing the student participants with the opportunity to submit discussion questions in advance.

Middle school students will engage in the same discussion on April 28.

The next UN SDG discussion at Bolles is May 10 from 12 pm. to 1:30 p.m. in the Chahlavi Center for Global Learning and Engagement. Participants must register and bring their own charged device. The May 10 topic is Quality Education, the UN’s fourth sustainable development goal.

The Chahlavi Center has fast become a much utilized setting for global experiences. On April 28 at 10:30 a.m., student Juan Fernandez-Bussy has organized an opportunity for Bolles students to connect with  NYU ABU DHABI students to discuss abroad studies and share experiences.
