Two Bolles FTC Teams Advance to State Championship
Five Bolles FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics teams competed in the Northeast Florida League tournament January 30-31, facing off against 31 school and community teams.
Static Discharge and Mischievous Mechanics earned bids for the state championship, qualified for the tournament playoffs as the number one and number two ranked teams respectively and were the tournament champion alliance. Static Discharge also won the Inspire Award, the event’s highest judging honor, while Mischievous Mechanics won the Think Award. The teams will compete in the state championship March 6-7 in Winter Haven, Florida.
Bolles teams Patent Pending, 404 Parts Not Found and Syntax Terror finished the tournament ranked 20, 21 and 23 respectively. Thank you to FTC coaches Paul Sollee ’88 and Devan Skapetis for their dedication in supporting these talented teams! #BollesInnovates
