Swimming and Diving Wins Region, Post 67 State Qualifying Efforts

The Bolles boys’ and girls’ swimming and diving teams swept the team titles at the Region 1-1A Championships, held November 4 at Bolles. The teams combined to win 19 events and totaled 67 state qualifying efforts.

Individual event winners for the Bolles girls were Megan McGrath ’22 in the 200 free, Sasha Ramey ’21 in the 200 IM, Fresh Sathianchokwisan ’22 in the 50 and 100 free, Laurel Coppedge ’25 in 1-meter diving, Avery Lambert ’22 in the 500 free and Alex Breuer ’22 in the 100 breast. Bolles also won the girls’ 200 medley relay (Katherine Meyers-Labenz ’24, Jessica Strong ’22, Emily MacDonald ’21, Julia Murphy ’24), girls’ 200 free relay (Sathianchokwisan, MacDonald, Ramey, McGrath) and 400 free relay (Sathianchokwisan, MacDonald, Ramey, McGrath).

Individual event winners for the boys were Andres Dupont Cabrera ’22 in the 200 and 100 free, Tomohiro Nozaki ’22 in the 200 IM, Martin Espernberger ’22 in the 100 fly, Tucker Peterson ’22 in the 100 back and William Heck ’23 in the 100 breast. The Bulldogs won the boys’ 200 medley relay (David Walton ’22, Ansen Meyer ’21, Espernberger, Peterson), boys’ 200 free relay (Seth Tolentino ’24, Heck, Nozaki, Dupont Cabrera) and 400 free relay (Dupont Cabrera, Adnan Atwan ’21, Tolentino, Meyer).
