Bolles President and Head of School Tyler Hodges and Associate Head of School Andrew Forrester announced the third quarter President’s List winners during two Honors Convocations held March 24 and March 26 on the Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus.

The winners are students who have gone “above and beyond” in their demonstration of The Bolles Way – pursuing excellence through courage, integrity and compassion.

This quarter’s President’s List recipients are:

• Vichy Chen ’27, Nina Zhou ’27, Grace Breffitt ’27, Maggie You ’27 and Caden Spohr ’26 – These students were honored for their sustained commitment and leadership in planning and executing the Chinese New Year Gala and the 20th Annual Chinese State Competition hosted at Bolles. Beginning preparations as early as last summer, they worked collaboratively as part of the core student leadership team to help deliver a large-scale, two-day cultural celebration that welcomed more than 500 attendees from across Florida and showcased organizational excellence and meaningful community engagement.
   
• Heidi Hassan ’28, Stella Smith ’28, Lilybeth Posick ’28 and Mia Lee Chong ’28 – These students were recognized for their leadership as ambassadors for Morgan’s Message at Bolles, collaborating to organize a campuswide mental health initiative during midterm exams. They invited students to create and decorate motivational clips that were shared across campus, offering small but meaningful moments of encouragement during a stressful academic period.
   
• Vichy Chen ’27 – Chen was additionally recognized for her exceptional service as an unpaid intern with the J.T. Townsend Foundation, where she contributed at a high level through marketing and design work, administrative support and assistance with major fundraising events. Her professionalism, compassion and leadership strengthened the foundation’s outreach and directly supported children and families with disabilities.
   
• Anya Shah ’27 – Shah was honored for her inspiring leadership as founder and president of the Bolles chapter of Kindness In A Diverse Society (KIDS), as well as a vice president at the organizational level. With more than 400 volunteer hours, she has led extensive fundraising, donation drives and outreach initiatives supporting children, refugees and families across Florida. Her impact was recently recognized with the National Philanthropy Day Next Generation Award.
   
• Sydney Shagam ’27 – Shagam was recognized for founding Yarns of Warmth, an organization dedicated to spreading comfort and encouragement through handmade crochet items donated to libraries, hospitals and healthcare facilities. She is currently leading a large-scale project creating sleeping mats for unhoused individuals using recycled materials, and her compassionate service has been formally recognized by Baptist Health.
   
• Nitin Mali ’27 – Mali earned distinction for founding an organization focused on cardiovascular health awareness, prevention and education. He has shared his work through published writing, public speaking and a podcast, partnered with local hospitals to distribute hundreds of handwritten letters to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures and served as a junior counselor with CISV USA Jacksonville, promoting inclusivity and connection among young people.
