Student-Run Post Offices Bring Letter Writing to Life

Bolles second graders on both lower school campuses launched their annual winter Post Office projects, giving students a fun way to practice letter writing and learn how mail moves from sender to recipient. Students and teachers across all grade levels enjoyed writing notes, addressing envelopes, polishing their punctuation and receiving special campus deliveries from the Grade 2 postal teams.

On the Bolles Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus, lower school teachers Monica Morton and Sarah VonderAhe introduced the project and opened the campus Post Office on January 30. The unveiling included a giant blue mailbox at Flag. Each grade partnered with another grade to exchange letters through February 12.

Bolles Lower School Whitehurst Campus second graders promoted their Post Office with a lively performance of “Return to Sender” at Flag on February 9. Lower school teachers Teresa Hudson and Ashley Padgett have been guiding their eager postal workers as they sort mail, make deliveries and share positive messages across campus.

Well done, Bulldogs! #BollesPVB #BollesWhitehurst
