Bolles alumnus DJ Stewart ’12 hit his first Major League home run on September 19, helping the Baltimore Orioles to a 2-1 home win over the Toronto Blue Jays. Stewart made his MLB debut on September 12, starting slow from the plate but heating up in his last three games. He notched his first RBI on September 16, with Bolles classmate and current Baltimore Raven Hayden Hurst ’12 in attendance cheering him on (coincidentally both were selected 25^th by their Baltimore franchises). On September 18, he tallied his first hit with a single, rounding the bases on an error and scoring his first run. In addition to his homer on September 19, Stewart also added a double.
