Bolles Middle School Bartram Campus sixth graders went on a field trip October 30 to get up close with the animals they will research and work to conserve as part of a new partnership with the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. The Bulldogs broke into their Advisory groups to learn more about their assigned areas of the world and complete educational scavenger hunts.

In December, each Advisory will decide which species they will focus on for the remainder of the Connecting Classrooms to Conservation program, which concentrates on endangered species and biodiversity. The Africa group will choose between elephants or hoofed animals (e.g. giraffes, zebras), while the Asia group has a choice between Sumatran tigers and Komodo dragons.
