First grade students on the Bolles Lower School Whitehurst Campus enjoyed a recent lesson on bubbles that was part science – part writing! After learning some of the science fundamentals of how soap and water make bubbles, students were able to stand in the concoction and get ensconced in some. It was hard to tell who was having more fun, those making the bubbles or the peers inside of them! After soaking in the science lesson, teacher Jill Bobbitt directed them in a journal-writing exercise to document their experiences on paper. Learning is fun at Bolles!
