Robotics Class Hosts Dance-Off
robotics dance

Gloria Wood’s upper school robotics class demonstrated some of the coding and design they have been learning this semester during an exciting robot dance-off event in the Ulmer Courtyard February 24.

Students programmed their robot creations to move around a platform to their selected dance songs, showcasing unique dance motions and gestures. One robot, for example, entertained the upper and lower school crowd that assembled with “YMCA” motions. Others selected popular current songs and programmed their robots to mimic corresponding dance moves. Fourth graders from the Bolles Lower School Whitehurst Campus came over to watch the exciting dance-off action.

A panel of faculty judges determined a tie win between the pair of “Thomas Z & Martin” and “Kevin C. & Alida C.” Congratulations to all the dancers and their programmers!
