River Day Makes a Splash on Whitehurst Campus

While Bolles Lower School Whitehurst Campus students enjoy a riverfront experience daily, they have been in for a special treat for almost two weeks during their River Activities PE unit, also known as River Day.

Led by Whitehurst Campus coaches Trey Leonard ’05 and Rachel Freeman, these unique PE lessons are designed for students in Grades 1-5. The Bulldogs participate in various water sports and activities on Powell’s Beach and the dock, including kayaking, paddleboarding and fishing. Whitehurst Campus nurse Kerry Phillips ’05 is also lending a hand and a watchful eye on the water to ensure all lifejackets are secured and students stay safe while exploring the St. Johns River.

The PE lessons began September 3 and will wrap up on September 24. To view pictures from River Day, visit our online photo gallery. #BollesWhitehurst
