Taylor Richardson ’22 co-sponsored the annual Drive-Up Back2School Jamboree on September 12, which distributed 1,000 backacks filled with school supplies to local school children.
This is Richardson’s seventh year volunteering for the event and her second year co-hosting. The event raises supplies and gives out backpacks to youth living in Northwest Jacksonville. To date, the event has allocated more than 8,000 full backpacks to local students. This year, local organization FarmShareFL also helped, giving every car a bag of food.
Richardson also made separate donations of school supplies to 25 refugee children served by JaxThrive, a local youth-led nonprofit whose mission is to educate and inspire refugee children.
