The Bolles boarding community is buzzing with excitement as 80 Resident Life students – both returning and new – have arrived on the Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus, hailing from 40 countries and 14 U.S. states.

While most boarders moved in August 9-10, several students came earlier in the week, giving them a head start on making new friends, reconnecting with familiar faces and settling into campus life.

Bolles administrators, members of the Admission team and staff from other areas of School life such as College Counseling, the Upper School Nurses' Office, Athletics and more were available during move in to assist and answer questions for students and parents.

No matter the arrival time, each student was welcomed by our enthusiastic Resident Life staff, supportive dorm families and the outstanding leadership of the student-run Resident Hall Council. The Council has played a central role in creating a smooth and inclusive transition for all boarders – organizing welcome activities, offering peer support and helping foster the close-knit community that defines Bolles Resident Life.

From swimming in Tarver Pool and playing games overlooking the St. Johns River to off-campus adventures like Top Golf, students are already building the connections that will carry them through the year. Under the thoughtful direction of Bolles Director of Resident Life Dr. Tranaé Robinson, these early days are intentionally designed to nurture the caring, supportive environment that has long been a hallmark of Bolles boarding.
