PVB Grade 2 Students Bring History to Life on Stage

Bolles Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus second graders showcased their speaking skills March 30 during the annual Grade 2 Changemakers performance. Students took the stage in George Hall and transformed the space into a living museum that highlighted their research skills and confident presentations.

Students spent several weeks preparing for the event by researching influential historical figures and learning key facts about their lives. Each student explored topics such as early interests and lasting accomplishments before selecting how best to share that story with an audience.

As the performance approached, students focused on presentation. They wrote scripts, designed costumes and selected props that helped communicate their historical figure’s impact. Drama and music teacher Stacey Posick directed the final production, which featured students rotating through three large frames and delivering their presentations while wearing detailed outfits inspired by their characters. This year’s portrayals included Serena Williams, Malala Yousafzai, Abraham Lincoln and Albert Einstein along with many other notable figures.
