First graders on the Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus were aglow with excitement September 22 during their first “Glow Day” of the school year. With help from grade level parents, teachers Sara Heninger and Brittany Hetland transformed their classrooms into enchanted, luminescent settings as a reward for their students.

Students wrote assignments with glow markers, used special flashlights and added new shine and shimmer to the day’s coursework – all completed in the bluish light of their glowing classrooms. Heninger and Hetland said they plan to host additional glow days this school year to celebrate learning and good behavior in the classroom.
