Pre-K Students Enjoy Sushi Lesson
students making sushi

Pre-K students on the Bolles Lower School Whitehurst Campus learn many life lessons in their riverfront classroom – how to begin writing and reading and how to care for animals, play with purpose and cook. The latter lesson is one of the most fun, as students enjoy hands-on units in their classroom cottage’s very own kitchen. On February 5, one student’s parents visited the class to share a special kind of culinary design – sushi-making! Students learned how to roll fresh ingredients into sushi as part of their introduction to the Japanese delicacy. The visit and lesson was part of “S” week in Pre-Kindergarten. Sounds scrumptious!
