Ponte Vedra Beach Campus Bulldogs Embark on Global Journey

The Bolles Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus held its fifth annual International Festival on September 10, celebrating the School’s global diversity and highlighting the beautiful differences and similarities of people across the world.

Seven families and two Bolles upper school students, supported by helpers from the Global Scholar Program, gave vibrant presentations on nine countries and cultures, including:

  • Albania (Matt Jakaj ’28)
  • China (Zhao Family)
  • Czech Republic (Sebastian Slenc ’27)
  • England (Henderson Family)
  • Germany (Singh Family)
  • Italy (Prado Family)
  • Slovakia (Garamoni Family)
  • Ukraine (Kalinski Family)
  • U.S. Virgin Islands (Henley Family)
  • Global Scholar Helpers: MeiNing Chen ’29, Saanvi Kondu ’29, Riley Powell ’29 and Luka Vukelic ’29

The day began with a heartfelt presentation in George Hall, featuring a student-led welcome in several languages and the singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “This Land Is Your Land,” led by lower school music and drama teacher Stacey Posick. From there, students embarked on their global journey, rotating through cultural presentations filled with engaging demonstrations and colorful displays. The Bulldogs explored customs, dances, traditions, music and foods from around the world, while their peers beamed with pride as they shared and celebrated their cultures with friends.

Special thanks to all the Bulldog families and students who made this year’s festival such a success! The Bolles Lower School Whitehurst Campus will host its International Festival later this school year.
