Patterson ’20 Named Pro Team’s Newcomer of the Year
Bolles alumna Avery Patterson ’20 was named Newcomer of the Year by her National Women's Soccer League team, the Houston Dash. Announced on November 21, the team’s season awards were voted on by players, staff and media.
A defender who played her collegiate soccer at the University of North Carolina, Patterson led the Dash with 2,073 minutes played in 28 appearances across all competitions. She tallied two assists and scored her first professional goal in the final match of the regular season against Bay FC on November 2.
