Parrish ’28 Inspires Classmates, Teachers with Painted Rocks
Bolles Grade 7 student Parker Parrish ’28 has truly demonstrated The Bolles Way by painting rocks with colorful designs and words of encouragement and then distributing them to her classmates and teachers.
After seeing a Pinterest post about inspirational painted rocks, Parrish and her mother gathered about 20 rocks while traveling in Georgia this summer. The rocks sat in their laundry room for a while before Parrish decided she wanted to paint the rocks specifically to welcome Grade 6 students to the Bolles Middle School Bartram Campus.
PE teacher Madison Lee said Parrish passed out the rocks to a few friends and teachers before setting out a basket at Snack Island for those who needed a pick-me-up. The rocks were gone in a few minutes!
“Paker is truly a special gift to Bolles,” Lee said. “We are so thankful for her and her family!”
Parrish hopes to make more inspirational rocks to leave along the pathways of the Bartram Campus and give to her advisory group.
