New Program Pairs Freshmen Girls with Senior “Big Sisters”

The Bolles Senior Women organization launched a mentorship-based Big Sis/Little Sis initiative this school year designed to bridge the gap between seniors and incoming freshmen girls new to the Upper School San Jose Campus.

Led by president Zee Curtis ’24 and vice president Bella Bergeron ’24, members of Senior Women met with their “little sisters” on the River Campus August 17 during Zero Hour. The seniors warmly greeted the ninth graders with posters, donuts and water.

Bolles upper school English department chair Pamela Clubb, who co-sponsors Senior Women with upper school academic assistant Cynthia Harcrow, said the senior mentors will meet with their mentees and plan activities for the group throughout the school year.

“This mentor program provides the seniors the opportunity to form bonds with younger girls, establishing a network of encouragement and support,” Clubb said. “We’re confident that the seniors participating will give the freshmen sage advice as they begin their journeys on the San Jose Campus.”

Well done, Senior Women! #BulldogProud #BollesBIG
