New Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus Head Announcement

During this time of "new normal" at The Bolles School, it gives me great happiness to share the kind of good news we're more used to sending and today's announcement is of that high caliber. I am thrilled to announce Stacey Hendershot has been named the Ponte Vedra Beach Campus Head, following in the steps of our retiring and much-loved Peggy Campbell-Rush this summer.

This decision follows months of interviews with highly qualified candidates from all over the country. Our search team sought a vibrant, experienced and compassionate leader who could build upon the strong tradition of excellence on our Ponte Vedra Beach Campus and move it forward with an All Things Possible mindset. Stacey is this person ten times over, and we are excited about the energy and leadership she will bring to our Bolles family.

Stacey comes to us from Land-O-Lakes, Florida where she has been the Assistant Head of Lower School at Carrollwood Day School. In this role, she has served two lower school campuses and led the school's lower division with scheduling, curriculum, professional development evaluation and diversity inclusion initiatives. Her more extended background, however, is as an independent and public school educator in Florida and Michigan, where she taught first, second, fourth and fifth grades as well as literacy and math intervention. Stacey has a master's degree in elementary education from Marygrove College and a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree from Central Michigan University. In addition to being active in FCIS accreditation roles, Stacey is trained in problem-based learning, Writer's Workshop, Responsive Classroom and has been a staff trainer for technology integration, behavior intervention, SEL learning and classroom management. Stacey brings so many strengths and experiences to our leadership team, and we are eager to bring her into the Bolles community.

Stacey, her husband Rob, and three children: Ian (15), Ella (12) and Camden (9) are planning to move to Northeast Florida this summer and she will officially begin her position on July 1. I know you will join me in giving a big Bulldog welcome to Stacey and will wish her well as we move into this important next chapter on the Bolles Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus.

With warm regards,

Mike Drew
Associate Head of School
