Bolles Upper School San Jose Campus Head Moya Marks helped host a virtual lunch presentation last week by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program. Marks has been on the group’s board of directors for the past three years.
The group’s South Florida field representative Cecilia Jeffus shared a program about updates to the requirements for international students that have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants included administrators from the Florida areas of Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Melbourne, Lake Highland, Lake Mary, Naples and Maitland, as well as someone from Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Marks said the presentation and ensuing question-and-answer session was a “great help” offering new perspective and information.
The next presentation will include representatives from college counseling and college admissions offices. The topic is international students and the college admission process. Bolles College Counselor Julie Moloney will be on the panel alongside admission representatives from Southern Methodist University and Baylor University among others.
