Lynn ’29 Assists with Pacemaker Implants in Syria

This summer, Bolles eighth grader Lynn ’29 spent time assisting with pacemaker implants for indigent patients suffering from severe heart blocks in Syria alongside her father, a cardiac electrophysiologist.

Lynn learned to program pacemakers at age 10 and has used her knowledge to program these devices for three consecutive years. The pacemakers, donated by her father, were implanted in patients selected through a charity organization in Syria.

Their journey took them from the United States to Dubai and then Lebanon by air, followed by seven hours of challenging travel by land – all to reach the patients who needed the pacemakers to maintain survival. We’re proud of Lynn’s heartfelt efforts and impressive experience in the medical field as she demonstrates The Bolles Way across the globe! #BulldogsInspiringGoodness
