Grade 7 students on the Bolles Middle School Bartram Campus presented their Literary Food Trucks projects around the campus flagpole on May 11 during Activities period.

A debut event for seventh-graders, the project challenged students to create a “food truck” table exhibit based on one of the verse novels they read in class. Students were asked to either focused on a character in the book or on overall novel themes. Instead of exchanging money for food or giving out actual food, students showcased ideas and in some cases, shared samples of food with peers.

“The overall idea was to sell kids on reading the books because they are so good!” said seventh grade English teacher Gabi Fudge.
