Kindergartners Help Sunflowers Grow on PVB Campus

Bolles Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus Kindergartners took a hands-on approach to science this month, harvesting sunflower seeds and planting them in the campus Kinder-garden.

Led by lower school science teacher Carolyn Houston, the students collected seeds from mature sunflowers and prepared them for planting, learning about the plant life cycle through direct observation and participation. The activity connected classroom lessons with real-world experiences in the garden, giving students an opportunity to see how plants grow and reproduce.
