Katugaha ’27 Inspires through Day of the Girl Event

Bolles sophomore Raaya Katugaha ’27 hosted a presentation about female empowerment December 12 during Activities in the Varn Conference Room as part of her Advanced Leadership Course.

When her class was tasked with creating impactful projects to better our global community, Katugaha dove into researching the worldwide issue of gender inequality.

She invited the female faculty and student body to her well-planned Day of the Girl event, designed to bring awareness to the everyday challenges of female empowerment and inform attendees about historical milestones, global issues and opportunities to take action. The group engaged in thoughtful discussions and enjoyed interactive games and activities, including a positivi-tree and an empowerment wall.

“I believe that when women come together, collaborate and support a universal cause, we can leave our mark and inspire each other,” Katugaha said.

Way to go, Raaya! #BollesGlobal #BulldogsInspiringGoodness
