Jones ’17 Sets Records in Bama’s Title Win
Bolles alumnus Mac Jones ’17 set a College Football Playoff National Championship Game record for passing yards with 464 and tied for touchdowns with five in leading the University of Alabama to the 2021 National Championship on January 11. The Crimson Tide finished the season a perfect 13-0, in large part due to Jones’ breakout season behind center.
Jones finished the season with nation-leading stats in passing yards (4,500), completion percentage (77.4), passer rating (203.1) and total QBR (96.1). He finished second in touchdown passes with 41.
